My main projects include the following areas of research (click for more info):

• Delimiting species boundaries of the Pulex irritans/simulans (Siphonaptera)
  complex,
• Total evidence phylogeny of the Order Siphonaptera,
• Flopsin, or: Can fleas see?,
• The batflies of the world,
• Evolutionary Ecology of Pterygosoma spp. (Acari) on the Liolaemini of
  Argentina,
• Chagas Disease in the prehistoric Americas.

I work primarily in the field of parasitology, concentrating mainly on ectoparasites, such as fleas, batflies and mites.

I am interested in higher level phylogenetic work, as well as population level and phylogeographic studies. My studies try to combine research across a variety of fields to examine and explain the evolution of the parasitic lifestyle.
